What’s TA Climbing Next II?

What’s TA climbing Next?

That’s the question on many people’s minds (and has been on mine for months). We had such fun guessing the last time, I thought I would offer up the game again this time. The clues may be a bit more obtuse this time in that I’ve committed to using only photos from my collection in creating the clues. This time, the person who guesses first will receive a signed summit photo. I’m not saying yet whether it’s a mountain or mountains…but just in case, a correct answer will list the mountains/peaks/high points in chronological order (i.e. in the order they might be climbed) Just saying. Please enter your guess on my blog/website (it is so satisfying to see the graph with site visits go up and I want to break the single day record of 453 visits). If you list a guess on FB-please also place it on the blog. Two guess max per person per day…we don’t want this thing over tomorrow! 🙂 The photo above is your first clue…Trien, Carla, MC, Shelagh et al get your fingers ready, on your mark, get set, guess!

I was immediately going to guess Mount Vinson (I listened to your CBC interview last week on-line) but it doesn’t fit with anything you just wrote in your blog. So, my eye is drawn to the flag in the photo (Italy? Mexico?) but since you also said your clues will be a bit more obtuse this time….I’m currently stumped!

OK, you are on the summit of Aconcagua – one of the 7 Summits, the highest outside the Himalaya and in the Southern Hemisphere. Hmm what else. That flag, not sure what it is – Newfoundland?

Got to keep working this one.
    Alan

  3. Trien says:

Since there is focus on the flag, it leads me to believe there will be 3 mountains/peaks

Hi here is my first guess since doing a little research on the Newfie Tri color its origin is in Ireland a challenge I found is the 3 summits in 36 hours so in order: Ben Nevis in Scotland, (4,408 feet), Scafell Pike in England: (3,207 feet) and Snowdon in Wales (3,558 feet). Carla

Yay…the expert guessers are back! Nice bit of research Carla! I like how this process always gives me more ideas of things to climb, places to visit, and interesting facts.
