This wonderful moment was made possible by adventurous mothers who support/supported their young humans to develop physical literacy skills like biking. What is this moment-two special humans in my life, separated by 6 decades, sharing inaugural laps on the pump track near Quidi Vidi!Me and my boombox…er…chainsaw. So enjoyed getting out on the trails of the @echopond_centre to assist in opening up the trails and the centre for another season of environmental education a.k.a. setting up young humans for a long life relationship with nature and the outdoors. My pleasure to lend a hand or two! This is one of my classrooms from yesterday! Not too shabby.Just couldn’t resist a paddle on our way home when we saw the pond was wind still.Be colourful! Marian took this shot of me on a hike earlier in the week and Google photos decided I needed to stand out in full-colour!Hiking at sunset with my best hiking buddies on Signal Hill!Explore TA's Website

Upright is Alright
Here’s an oldie but a goodie…it’s a video that Kenna Fair and I made after our 2003 trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. It’s a compilation of super eight film, video, and photographs. The first three minutes … Continue reading
Indescribable
Using Powell’s words and Super 8 film footage, we try to describe in the indescribable experience of traveling down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. Given the arrival of my new Alpacka Pack Raft, my thoughts has turned to … Continue reading

Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success. Always be on … Continue reading

Visual Soliloquy #49 Time is a sort of river of passing events…
Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away.–Marcus Aurelius

Visual Soliloquy #48 The road of life twists and turns…
The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.–Don Williams, Jr.

Visual Soliloquy #28
Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate. –Zhuangzi
Visual Soliloquy #27
For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Visual Soliloquy #26
I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do. –Helen Keller
Visual Soliloquy #25
At sunrise everything is luminous but not clear. It is those we live with and love and should know who elude us. You can love completely without complete understanding. –Norman Maclean
Visual Soliloquy #24
Do not let arguments of expediency persuade you. That is the slow road to oblivion. That is the tortured path to undoing step by step, bit by bit, as the river creates a canyon, the way of life that we … Continue reading
