Another fine outing with my class to Salmonier Nature Park with my class. My arrow grouping is getting much better including several in the yellow today! #archery #meditation #bullseye.Good morning and good night YYT.Some sights from around Lisbon-how many can you recognize?I enjoyed a lovely lap on the North Head Trail today-it had been too long!I enjoyed both attending and photographing a women’s chain saw workshop yesterday. It was sponsored by the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. I brought a camera along and it was a challenging activity to capture as I had to avoid getting hit by falling trees, getting oily sawdust on my lens, and trying to capture faces in the midst of folks wearing fairly intensive PPE. I wanted to capture a mini story for each participant about their experience of using a chainsaw. Here’s one of the attendees in action.TA’s Facebook Page

Labrador 2015: All Packed Up & Almost Ready to Go
The food is packed into barrels. The barrels were packed into Lew’s van. The one canoe was packed into the other. The third one loaded onto Paul’s car. The two canoes together make a tricky hoist onto the van. Success! … Continue reading

Labrador 2015: Shipiskan to the Sea
The most common question I am asked is, “What’s Next?” Given the current reports of the veracity of the black fly population in Labrador this summer, my most frequent answer at the moment is, “Bug Bait.” I can’t believe how … Continue reading

Hope is a state of mind, not of the world. Hope, in this deep and powerful sense, is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to invest in enterprises that are obviously heading for success, … Continue reading
