The food is packed into barrels.
The barrels were packed into Lew’s van.
The one canoe was packed into the other. The third one loaded onto Paul’s car.
The two canoes together make a tricky hoist onto the van.
Success! The canoes are secured and by now are on the other side of the province waiting for the ferry to Labrador. Marian and I fly to Goose Bay in the morning and then the trip gets really real. Now is the rush to attend to all the last minute details of finishing up courses, planting last seedlings into the garden and meeting a friend for dinner. So it’s two sleeps and counting until the boats run down river to the sea. Looking forward to sharing the journey with all of you.
WooHoo!
