Another fine outing with my class to Salmonier Nature Park with my class. My arrow grouping is getting much better including several in the yellow today! #archery #meditation #bullseye.Good morning and good night YYT.Some sights from around Lisbon-how many can you recognize?I enjoyed a lovely lap on the North Head Trail today-it had been too long!I enjoyed both attending and photographing a women’s chain saw workshop yesterday. It was sponsored by the Becoming an Outdoors Woman program. I brought a camera along and it was a challenging activity to capture as I had to avoid getting hit by falling trees, getting oily sawdust on my lens, and trying to capture faces in the midst of folks wearing fairly intensive PPE. I wanted to capture a mini story for each participant about their experience of using a chainsaw. Here’s one of the attendees in action.TA’s Facebook Page

Get Away to the Mountains, the Deserts and the Deepest Recesses of the Earth-A Found Piece of Writing
Here on 2-20-20, another fine odometer moment, I delved into a little Finder clean-up/re-org and found this piece I’d written some time ago. Given all the skiing we’ve been doing this winter and given our soon to be departure to … Continue reading

Team #Skiarail Goes Coast to Coast to Completion
My friend, Heather, wrote to say she likes to play, “Where in the world is TA?” She said, “I know you could be anywhere.” Well, Heather-you might be surprised that I am not that far from home but a world … Continue reading

The #SkiARail Team Heads West
Marian and I are sitting on a train bound for Toronto and we are wearing longjohns. We’re sweltering a bit but the ski we had this afternoon on Mont Royal was worth it. The sun was shining, the trail grooming … Continue reading
Ski Lift Pass Life
Last weekend I got to downhill ski at Marble Mountain in western Newfoundland and Labrador. I usually only get out on the boards once or twice a season so I cherish every moment on the hill, when for once, I’m … Continue reading

I love this clip. It speaks volumes of what it is like to be on the precipice of a new experience, wanting to let go and let the skis ride, and the challenge of doing that. A brave nine year … Continue reading

Skiing in Place
Another great day out training for Greenland. I love this picture of Marian standing at the edge of Windsor Lake. The fish eye lens of the Go-Pro has curved the horizon and given the picture a very sensuous feeling. I’d … Continue reading
