What Would You Name A Mountain?

cool looking mountainSometimes when someone climbs a mountain that no one has climbed before, they get to name it.  If you had such an honour, what would you name a mountain and why?

PS…The mountain above already has one…it’s name is Nupse and it is located close to Everest.  This picture was taken just as the sun was fading from the sky.

It’s a beautiful, gigantic rock of a mountain! Mountains are usually named after someone who has climbed it or after a famous person who has persevered or done something great in their lives… I would name a mountain after a trememdous woman who has done amazing things with her life and the lives of others to inspire them to climb ‘their’ mountains, whether physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually… that mountain would be named Mount Loeffler..!

Nupse is a gigantic rock of a mountain. As you say, many mountains are named after the first people who have climbed them.. others are named after famous people who have done something gigantic in their lives and persevered.
If I had to name a mountain it would be named after a woman I admire greatly who has persevered in all her endeavours, who has inspired all to climb their own mountains – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Her work and adventures have taken her to 38 different countries and all seven continents. She has attempted to complete the seven highest peaks in the world and these are locaged on the seven continents. She has accomplished this feat on six of these and has climbed the seventh twice – almost reaching the summit both times.. the only one left to complete is Mount Everest.
I would call that mountain the greatest name of all… Mount Loeffler ..!!

    HI TA,
Now you just have to find a mountain unclimbed…climb it and name it. Sounds pretty cool Mount Loeffler.
