A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain? –Khalil Gibran

Interesting thought. However, sometimes is nice to be close enough to give those friends a hug, mountains too, I guess.

I agree-it is lovely to be able to hug our friends…I think it’s important to change our view on occasion. Mountains and friends look different up close and from far away…what’s important it to remember to see and appreciate our friends (from wherever we are and wherever they are)
