here is my next guess:Mt.Iso the highest peak in the brooks range in alasaka.Carla
Carla-you are always good at adding new peaks to my list…
Mt. Oraefajokull?
Galdhøpiggen?
Getting warmer but no…
Could it be mt.Krafla in Iceland ? Carla
Not quite…
Gunnsbjornfjeld on arctic
Congrats to Priya for putting all the details together. Yes…my next climb is Gunnbjørn Fjeld or Mt Gunnbjörn, the highest peak in the Arctic. We are doing a 300 km ski traverse of the eastern portion of the ice cap starting from Nerlerit Inaat Airport to Gunnbjørn Fjeld. We’ll do a few first ascents along the way to Gunnbjørn Fjeld. The route to the mountain is thought to be a world’s first. More details to follow soon.
Did I win anything? Did I, did I? 😀
Bragging rights 🙂
Barbeau peak… The highest peak in the Arctic?
Barbeau is the highest peak in Nunavut as well as Eastern North America but it is not the highest peak in the Arctic.
thank you for clearing that up…google led me astray 🙂
I checked the two elevations myself just to make sure I didn’t have to rapidly change plans 🙂
