In the versatility of wanderlust
There lies the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious of adventure
Of life,
Of love,
Of Omas round the world
So filled with kindness
And the courage to nurture excellence towards the summit.
Can I Live?
Can I Aspire?
Can I Empower?
I am Thelma. You are Louise.
I like to dream with you my friends.
Of possibility.
To live.
To learn.
Alongside happy children and sprinkled donuts filled with
The curious power of imagination.
Asking how I poo on the mountain and what Tgate stands for…
I answer, they laugh.
Adults rarely talk of pee funnels, colourful treats, and being Totally Awesome.
I do. And it is fun.
And if it isn’t fun, why do it?
And if it is not true to me, why do it?
For verisimilitude was the word for me today.
Speaking truth to justice and dreams and wishing and hoping and wanting
All the young ones to dream bigger than those who’ve climbed the mountain before.
I had a great time presenting to the 450 or so junior high school students at St. Paul Junior High…they had some great questions to ask at the end…including “What was my favourite word and why?” I asked folks on Facebook what they thought my favourite word was and then used all of their suggestions to write the spoken word piece above.
Wanderlust, you rock – I am flattered.
Thanks…:-) I appreciated all of the words coming my way.
