What kinds of outdoor adventures will float your boat this weekend? I’m thinking a hike might be in the cards, maybe some gardening, and a bit of paddling perhaps.It’s been a great week for sunsets. I asked Marian to make a shape during our hike on Signal Hill.Thinking of all the folks and feathered ones so devastated by Hurricane Larry making landfall in the vicinity of Cape St. Mary’s Seabird Ecological Reserve. I had the great fortune of spending some time there 48 hours before the storm. I sat and watched and photographed in awe. And now I sit grieving for the birds and for the folks who love them.Through the rigging and the rails. Sunset at the St. Brides Wharf.With all this talk of waves and ocean, it must be time for a boat. As the day turns to night and the waves turn to stillness, it is time to get quiet. Sit. Think. And then pick up your backpack and head home before you can see the trail anymore.Since Marian captured me in technicolor, I’ll return the favour. Here Marian rides in front of Sharon’s Nook, a Grand Bank cafe and eatery, on our ride around town. I love exploring places by foot and bicycle because I can stop and pause and really take it all in.TA’s Facebook Page
