Stage Six: Becoming Sky and Trees

Day Six invited us to meld with the sky and trees above us. As we floated and paddled today, we spoke little. We didn’t need to as the river provided (mostly) gentle propulsion downhill and we’re more relaxed in moving the boat in, through, and around sweepers, snags, and strainers.

Difference than the high altitude environment, this one mostly shades of green with some blue instead of blue and white and black. The soothing sound of the water moving by invites thoughts to flow out and a deepening awareness of the present moment is starting to drown out the noise of indoor life.

Two geese just flew by and we could hear their wings flap between their choreographed honks.

And now from the sublime, to planning tomorrow’s paddle. Gotta go!
