Now tell us how you really feel…about the nature-based physical literacy summit combined with lovely grand outdoor adventures in @visitgrosmorne. It’s been a marvellous few days of being delayed by the storm. :-)What an amazing ski we had today!!! I might be hooked on backcountry skiing!Well-while I didn’t get to head home after the summit today, instead I got to go for another wonderful backcountry ski…and tomorrow I’m headed out again with my wonderful hosts, Sue and Bob. I warned them that I’m like a bad cold, easy to catch-hard to get rid of! This pic by Sue is of our ski-errr-planning retreat on Thursday before the summit started that evening! Such fun!Had a fabulous backcountry ski yesterday re:summit leadership team retreat, on a new trail that had just been flagged. Fresh powder everywhere!Good morning from Norris Point!Cheers to active outdoor living!TA’s Facebook Page

Always Have the Support of a Joyful Mind (especially when it is raining buckets)
We are ready to head out for another wet day on the Kerry Way, here in Southern Ireland. We’re batting about 1/3 sunny and 2/3 rainy and windy. Not bad odds for one of the greenest places on earth. Yesterday, … Continue reading
Walking My Way Back to Ewe Babe
Hello from County Kerry, Marian and I are using foot power once again as we make our way around the Kerry Way. Some will remember that we were here almost 2 years with our friend, Andy, during our Five Peaks … Continue reading
Dry It, You’ll Like It!
There is nothing like holding a whole jar of salsa in your hands, without any drips, that gets you excited about an upcoming paddling trip. Marian Wissink and I spent the last week turning 40 kg of “wet” food into … Continue reading
Trails of Twillingate: Bashing About Back Harbour
After our fine morning, we walked directly out from the Anchor Inn and Suites to try out finding the trail that leaves from behind the Twillingate Museum that heads to Back Harbour. All was well as we headed down the … Continue reading

One of the more unique activities you can do in Twillingate is searching for root cellars. Thus far, 232 root cellars have been found and recorded; many are easily spotted from roads and others can be found in further-flung locations. … Continue reading
Trails of Twillingate: Hospital Pond Trail
With all of our travels in and around Twillingate, we’d never hiked the Hospital Pond Trail until today. What a delightful walk! The pond is just behind the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Hospital and the trail starts with two entry … Continue reading
Another Time in Twillingate
Marian and I had another “time” in Twillingate. The Dictionary of Newfoundland English defines a time as a party or celebration, a spree, a communal gathering…and what a time we had. Twillingate is the perfect Newfoundland destination as it has … Continue reading
